Alignment
From The Five Pillars
In The Five Pillars, there are five different alignments, each with its own set of unique spells and units. The five alignments are: Mountain (commonly called Red, noted for its fire spells and fire units) Swamp (commonly called Black, noted for its undead units and death magic) Elemental (commonly called Blue, has access to more spells than the others and psychic units) Desert (commonly called White, uses healing spells and mechanical units) Forest (commonly called Green, noted for its animals and nature spells).
Each alignment has its own advantages and disadvantages. As a general rule: Red and Black are offensive White and Green are defensive Blue is balanced between offense and defense, and can go either way. Use whatever alignment suits your playing style. Most new players like to use White because its easy to learn, and uses good solid defensive units.
An important thing to remember when choosing an alignment:
-Red allies with black & green and opposes blue and white
-Black allies with red & blue and opposes green & white
-Blue allies with black & white and opposes green & red
-White allies with green & blue and opposes black & red
-Green allies with red & white and opposes blue & black
