From The Five Pillars

Dev team: the group of lazy players who sometimes have great ideas about improving the game but somehow never can agree on them or show up on irc at the right time to talk about it.

However, they will often make changes that will unbalance the game and thus give something to talk about and abuse for the following reset.

Don't judge them too harshly, though. From time to time they do manage to make some good changes. Then it's just up to Zebulon to find a way to implement those "improvements" into the game without doing everything from scratch again.
